These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LucidBit's applications — including GentleLimit, ActiveStat, and PeekFocus — and this website. By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using any LucidBit application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our applications.
You may use our applications on your personal Macs. You may not redistribute them, resell them, or reverse-engineer them. If something is broken and can't be resolved, we'll refund your purchase within 14 days. We're a single-person studio and these Terms exist to make our relationship clear — not to be adversarial.
When you purchase a LucidBit application, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to install and use the application on Macs that you own or control, for your personal or internal business use.
A single-user purchase permits installation on any reasonable number of personal Macs belonging to the same individual owner. Bulk or team licences are available on request — please contact us.
You may not:
LucidBit applications are available via the Mac App Store and via direct purchase through Lemon Squeezy. Mac App Store purchases are governed entirely by Apple's terms and payment handling. Direct purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST based on your billing location.
All purchases grant a one-time, perpetual licence to the purchased version and all future updates for that major version line. We do not charge recurring subscription fees.
Some LucidBit applications include a free trial period (typically seven days) to allow evaluation before purchase. After the trial ends, continued use requires a valid licence. No payment information is collected during the trial.
We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase for direct purchases made through Lemon Squeezy. If the application does not work as described and the issue cannot be resolved, you may request a refund by contacting us with your purchase details. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.
Mac App Store purchases are subject to Apple's refund policy. Requests for Mac App Store refunds must be made directly to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.
LucidBit, the LucidBit wordmark, and the names and icons of our applications (GentleLimit, ActiveStat, PeekFocus) are the intellectual property of the LucidBit studio. All source code, design, and brand assets are copyrighted and may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.
We release updates periodically to improve performance, fix bugs, add features, and maintain compatibility with macOS. Purchasing an application entitles you to receive all updates to that major version at no additional cost. Significant new versions (e.g., a paid version 2.0) may be offered separately.
We reserve the right to discontinue development of an application. In the unlikely event of discontinuation, the most recent released version will remain available for download by existing licence holders.
LucidBit applications are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the applications will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, nor that any defects will be corrected.
You are responsible for backing up your own data. While our applications are designed to run safely alongside your workflow, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party application, system configuration, or future macOS release.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LucidBit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of our applications or website — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount you paid for the applicable application in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the applications after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of LucidBit applications shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
