LucidBit builds software that respects your machine and your privacy. This policy draws a clear line between our applications (which collect zero data) and our website (which only collects what you explicitly give us).
Our macOS applications are 100% on-device. They do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on remote servers. If you subscribe to our newsletter via this website, we save your email address. That is it.
LucidBit applications do not collect personal information. Specifically:
Some apps store preferences and usage history locally on your device in order to function. This data never leaves your Mac and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the application.
While our applications collect zero data, our website offers an optional email newsletter. If you choose to subscribe, we collect your email address solely for the purpose of sending you infrequent updates about new releases.
We use ConvertKit (Kit) as our email service provider. By subscribing, you acknowledge that your email address will be transferred to ConvertKit for processing in accordance with their privacy policy. We will never sell, rent, or spam your email address, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. LucidBit does not receive or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
If we ever update this policy in a meaningful way, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Given the nature of our software, we don't anticipate significant changes.
